This policy describes how Note From Audio at notefromaudio.com handles audio files, website visits and contact messages.

Audio stays in your browser

The converter reads the file you select on your device. Audio decoding, note detection and MIDI creation run in your browser. The converter does not upload your audio, its filename or the generated MIDI to a conversion server. The model and website files are downloaded from this site.

The selected filename is used locally for the MIDI track and download name. The converter does not save audio in a server account or conversion history. Downloaded MIDI files remain wherever you save them on your device.

Website traffic and performance data

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes network requests to deliver and protect the site, including connection information such as IP addresses. Local audio processing does not mean that visiting the website produces no network data.

Cloudflare performance analytics is active on the site. Browser requests observed on the guide page include the page URL, browser information, loading timings and memory measurements. These performance requests are separate from audio conversion and do not contain the selected audio file.

Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for analytics or fingerprint visitors. For details about its processing, see Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not promise a retention period for Cloudflare's infrastructure data.

Contact messages

If you email us, the email services involved process your sender address, message and any attachments so that the message can be delivered and answered. This is separate from using the converter. Do not send an audio attachment to request help; describe the file format, browser and error instead.

Accounts, advertising and payments

The current site has no user registration, third-party advertising or paid features. We may introduce third-party advertising or paid features in the future. If we do, we will update this policy to describe the actual providers and data practices when those features are introduced.
