About Note From Audio

Note From Audio is built and operated under the name Note From Audio. It provides a browser-based tool for turning short audio recordings into downloadable MIDI note drafts, together with a guide to reviewing and correcting those drafts.

What the tool does

You choose an audio file, run conversion on your device and download a .mid file. The converter uses the open-source Spotify Basic Pitch model and exports one MIDI note track. It does not separate instruments or export pitch bends.

What to expect

A completed conversion is not a guarantee of accurate notes. Our short synthetic MP3 tests included a melody, chords and bass. Chord and bass results contained extra or fragmented notes. Listen to and edit the result before using it in a musical arrangement.

How the site is supported

The site currently has no advertising or paid features. Third-party advertising or paid features may be introduced in the future; the site information and privacy policy will be updated if that happens.
